Passinho Carioca Performance

The debut of the performance produced by GG Brazil artistic residency with Passinho Carioca and Mulheres ao Vento was livestreamed on September 18–19th with a nightly audience of around 300 people. Each screening was followed by a post-show conversation with the company and a dance party that brought in spectators to share the screen and celebrate the possibilities of liberating ourselves from the boxes that gender and racial norms put us in. The performance and postshow conversations are currently being subtitled in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and we are mapping possible spaces of circulation in cultural and artistic venues, schools and academic debates on gender and masculinities, festivals and online events, and more!
